Ashley Graham was born on November 22, 1989, in Lincoln Nebraska. Ashley Graham faced constant bullying at school for her big legs. Her family consisted of two sisters. The process was challenging to gain jobs due to her unique appearance at the beginning of her career. Graham was offered to be on catalogs for several years however, she was not told her modeling career would go beyond basic jobs. She was able to advance her career quickly when she proved those who doubted her wrong. Sally Singer interviewed her for "Vogue's" 2007 issue. It was an opportunity for her first breakthrough. She appeared on the "Glamour Magazine" article "These Bodies are Beautiful at Any Size". Graham appeared in the news once more in 2009, when she appeared in the scandalous Lane Bryant commercial that ultimately was banned in many countries. At the time that the commercial was taken off YouTube and was removed from the site, it had been viewed over 800,000. The controversy escalated until Graham appeared with Jay Leno on "The Tonight Show." The first time she got a big break in 2010 after she was featured on Nickelodeon's TV show Victorious. She played Cat Valentine a teenage girl studying at a school for performing arts. Sam & Cat was the spin-off from her sitcom which was aired in 2013, after it had been cancelled.
