Steven TylerThe band toured Boston's club circuit . They were led by Frank Connelly their first manager. The band then began to work with Steve Leber, David Krebs, New York managers. The band's debut album, which was named "Eponymous" and was released in 1973. They got a recording contract in the year 1972. The album was followed in 1973 by Get Your Wings. Toys in the Attic. Rocks. and Draw the Line. These albums were instrumental in helping Aerosmith gain international recognition. These albums are the origin of legendary hits , including "Dream on", Walk This Way as well as "Sweet Emotion". Aerosmith's five first albums all were multi-platinum. Toys in the Attic and Rocks were also multi-platinum. As the decade went by, however, the band's hectic lifestyle of touring, recording and living together was beginning to wear them down. Due to their use of drugs and stimulants, Tyler and Perry were often referred to as the Toxic Twins. Aerosmith Behind the Music includes many videos that show their bond. Tyler was more devoted to Aerosmith than Perry and had a resentment of Perry for his aloof attitude. Perry also admired his preference for females throughout his life. Aerosmith was at a low point around 1980 due to tensions between Perry and Tyler.
